Summer in Busan – again

Summer has come to Busan, the Haeundae Beach is getting crowded and so is the traffic around our neighborhood. We are grateful to be able to walk down there in a few minutes, passing all the cars queued up for the same. That said, the business of the Haeundae Beach area does become claustrophobic now and then, and we are happy to be able to retire to our apartment.

A lot has happened since the last blog, more than 6 months ago. Christmas and New Year went past in a tremendous pace leaving only the good memories and some photos. Spring brought the thoughts and practical work in relation to Simon’s and Emil’s future. As it happens when you graduate from an international school, it is not a given where the studies should continue. Simon chose the rational path and enrolled for engineering at Aarhus University. Emil chose to follow Simon back to Denmark and enrolled in a Christian boarding school. They are both looking forward to the new challenges although they do admit they are going to miss this as well.

So on the back of these decisions we are now about to see the end of living together as a big family. Simon graduated high school last week and the last time here in Korea has been and will be dedicated social activities for both him and Emil. Both of them are leaving next weekend for good, except we expect to see them for the occasional visit. It is a new and exciting step and challenge for all of us.

We have added a photo album from Christmas and New Year and will aim to get an album from spring and Simons graduation uploaded as well within next week.
